Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Judgment of Paris!

Wednesday, 5/27 – 6-9pm – Absolution Cellars Tasting Lounge

May 2026 marks the 50th Anniversary of the Judgment of Paris, the blind wine tasting which forever changed the trajectory of California wine! To commemorate this momentous occasion, join us for a special Wine Tasting event at our Rare & Reserve Lounge on Wednesday May 27th. We will start with our own “Judgment of Morro Bay” by blind tasting 4 rounds of award-winning wines (8 wines in total) – see if you can determine which ones are from California and which ones are from France! You’ll each get a cheese plate to enjoy during the tasting. After the Tasting, we at Absolution Cellars would like to thank you by hosting a private viewing of “Bottle Shock”, based on the Judgment of Paris blind wine tasting competition that shocked the wine world in 1976. We’ll have popcorn for you, and you can order additional wines by the glass.

Advanced Tickets are $30 per person/$15 per person for Wine Club Members.
Day of Show tickets (if available) are $40 per person/$25 per person for Wine Club Members.

Sip & Shuck – Oysters & Wine Flight – Tuesday, 6/2 – 4 to 7pm

Enjoy 6 fresh oysters with a selection of mignonettes (both courtesy of Flying Colors Co. Mobile Oyster Bar), paired with a tasting flight of 3 wines. Additional oysters (orders of 6) can be purchased in advance. Additional wine (by the glass and bottles) will be available for purchase at the event.
